Meet Our Dogs

Sonic was recently saved off Riverside Animal Shelter’s euthanasia list. He came to us extremely thin and with kennel cough. He was the skinniest I had ever seen a dog. After 4 weeks of healing, he is now happy and healthy! Sonic has been nothing but a love bug since the moment I met him. He loves people and never wants you to stop petting him. He gets along well with other dogs. We do recommend a proper introduction to new dog friends. He loves to play ball! He really likes long leisurely walks and is very good on a leash. Sonic is potty trained and up to date on vaccinations. Sonic would love to find a forever home!

Meet Eva! She is the life of the party! She is a medium energy girl. She loves to play! She loves other dogs. Eva loves people and thinks she is a lap dog. Eva gives the sweetest hugs and kisses. She is potty trained; crate trained and knows basic commands. She does talk a little bit, but it is hilarious.  A home with another dog would be ideal for her or a home where she can be active and spend majority of her time with someone. Eva is approximately 1 ½ years old, spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She is ready for her forever home!

This beautiful husky was seen being tied up and left behind at our local dog park. A woman in her van saw the whole thing and chased the man down yelling at him. He said he had no use for her anymore and he didn’t want her, then quickly drove away. She clearly recently had a litter of puppies, as she is still swollen from feeding her babies. She was tied to the pole wearing a cute pink collar, her nails are trimmed, and she’s well fed. Imagine thinking she was part of a family, being forced to have puppies and then being discarded once her pups were born. The pain and sadness of her story resonated with us and we knew we had to try to help. We couldn’t bear to see her go to a very high kill shelter in Riverside or be picked up by the wrong person who would only use her for breeding again.

She was adopted by the most amazing family up in the mountains. She has a fur brother and a new human baby sister! Her family takes her hiking and spends lots of time outdoors with her. We are thrilled that she has found her forever home.

This sweet natured girl lost her home, despite her family trying everything to keep her. I contacted a few rescues with no response. We were fortunately able to take her into our home, we couldn’t see her go to a shelter. Zara was a very special case. I knew her from our dog’s current daycare facility. I knew Zara used to be very timid and shy, but she made huge strides at daycare and I knew she would regress terribly at a shelter. After a few weeks with us, she made even more progress in her social skills! It did not take long for someone to fall in love with her!

Zara is now living her best life with her new Mom! She gets spoiled rotten and is very loved! We still get to see her from time to time at daycare.
